A Bit About Me

Hello, I'm Jenny.  I like to take photographs simply as a hobby.  I have been at college on a photography introductory course and I've really enjoyed it and I've learned a lot about the camera.  In the level 1 course I learned about the film camera and how to develop film and create images in the dark room which I thoroughly enjoyed.  In the level 2 course I have been learning about the digital camera and trying to fathom photoshop.  

I have a Canon 1000D and a 35 to 55mm lens, I also have just bought a Tamron 70-300mm lens with a Macro function of 1:2.  For those of you who don't know, 1:2 means my macro pictures will come out half-lifesize.  If I had a 1:1 setting, they would be exactly the size of what you see in real life.  Hope that makes sense!  

I want to experiment with all sorts of photography.  I've taken many pictures of animals, places and of my neice and nephew but I would like to take it further.  Next year I am hoping to do an 'Access Course to Photography' where I will get to learn a lot about all different sorts of photography.
